Rubio outlines U.S. military position on Iran

Share

While congressional Democrats continue to press the narrative that President Donald Trump all-but started a war with Iran when he killed Iranian Quds Force terrorist Qassim Soleimani and that he must first obtain congressional approval before any military operation is undertaken as it pertains to Iran, Florida Senator Marco Rubio (R) decided to clarify exactly what the current U.S. military position is with Iran.

Basically, if Iran attacks they get bombed. Is Iran thinks about attacking, they get bombed. So, as long as Iran does not threaten American interests, the Trump administration will not rain lead on them.

“U.S. intent with regards to #Iran is clear,” stated Rubio. “Future U.S. military action depends entirely on what Iran decides to do first. If they or their proxies attack or get ready to attack Americans, the U.S. must & will respond if they don’t attack Americans, no U.S. attack will happen.”

Rubio’s remarks come after President Trump threatened to bomb 52 Iranian sites including targets within Iran itself.

“Iran is talking very boldly about targeting certain USA assets as revenge for our ridding the world of their terrorist leader who had just killed an American, & badly wounded many others, not to mention all of the people he had killed over his lifetime, including recently hundreds of Iranian protesters. He was already attacking our Embassy, and preparing for additional hits in other locations. Iran has been nothing but problems for many years. Let this serve as a WARNING that if Iran strikes any Americans, or American assets, we have targeted 52 Iranian sites (representing the 52 American hostages taken by Iran many years ago), some at a very high level & important to Iran & the Iranian culture, and those targets, and Iran itself, WILL BE HIT VERY FAST AND VERY HARD. The USA wants no more threats!”

Rep. Stephanie Murphy (D), who believes Soleimani "met his just end" because he "had American blood on his hands, is questioning the administration's "clear strategy to deal with the consequences" of the targeting killing.
