Iran has retaliated against the U.S. for killing it’s Quds Force terrorist leader Qassim Soleimani by launching dozens of surface-to-surface ballistic missiles at U.S. forces in Iraq.
According to the Pentagon, the targets were the military bases in Irbil and Al-Assad.
“In recent days and in response to Iranian threats and actions, the Department of Defense has taken all appropriate measures to safeguard our personnel and partners. These bases have been on high alert due to indications that the Iranian regime planned to attack our forces and interests in the region. As we evaluate the situation and our response, we will take all necessary measures to protect and defend U.S. personnel, partners, and allies in the region.”- The Pentagon
Senator Marco Rubio (R) has stated moments ago that a response is coming.
I have been briefed on this evenings direct attack by the #IRGC which launched ballistic missiles from #Iran’s territory against two Iraqi bases hosting coalition forces.
A full assessment is underway to determine an appropriate response.

President Trump has not made a statement regarding the Iranian attacks but White House Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham stated: “We are aware of the reports of attacks on U.S. facilities in Iraq. The president has been briefed and is monitoring the situation closely and consulting with his national security team.”
Considering that the U.S. military has already negotiated military strike options against Iran, how big will President Trump’s military response be.
“They attacked us, & we hit back,” tweeted President Trump “If they attack again, which I would strongly advise them not to do, we will hit them harder than they have ever been hit before!”
