It is no surprise to anyone that vice president Joe Biden leads the entire field of 2020 Democratic presidential candidates in Florida, but is it a big deal that he also leads President Donald Trump by two points at this stage in the election cycle.
Nope.
According to the latest Mason-Dixon poll of 625 likely voters, Biden leads Trump 47-45, which is well within the 4 percentage-point margin of error.
According to the POLITICO, ‘Biden was the only candidate from either political party with a positive approval rating in the crucial battleground state. Forty-five percent of respondents had a favorable view of the former vice president; 41 percent had a negative view.”
Trump and Biden have similar approval ratings with the president garnering a 46 percent approval rating, while Biden held a 45 percent favorable rating.
As for the rest of the field, Trump would defeat them all if the election were held today. Florida politics being how they are, this poll means absolutely nothing.
