House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D), alongside fellow Democrats Reps. Adam Schiff, Jerry Nadler, and Maxine Waters held a press conference to announce that the House Judiciary Committee led by Rep. Nadler has introduced (2) articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump.

House Judiciary Committee has introduced two articles of impeachment, charging Trump with "committing high crimes and misdemeanors."

Rep. Nadler said that “in service to our country” his committee has charged President Trump with “committing high crimes and misdemeanors.”

Article of Impeachment #2- Obstruction of Congress

“The framers of the Constitution prescribed a clear remedy for presidents who so violate their oath of office,” said Chairman Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y. "No one, not even the president, is above the law.”

Florida Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D) expressed her feelings about the announcement, stating that President Trump "attempted to put himself above the law and beyond any scrutiny of the American people."

Rep. Doug Collins (R) questioned why House Democrats wouldn't take questions after the press conference to announce the move to impeach. "They have no case," said Collins.

A full House vote on impeachment could come down just days before Christmas.

Shortly before Democrats made their announcement, President Trump tweeted the following:
