Energy Secretary Rick Perry believes President Donald Trump is the “chosen one.”
During an appearance on Fox & Friends this past weekend, Perry divulged that he had given Trump a “one-pager” list of Old Testament “imperfect” kings that went on to do great things.”
"God's used imperfect people all through history. King David wasn't perfect. Saul wasn't perfect. Solomon wasn't perfect,” Perry said.
“And I actually gave the president a little one-pager on those Old Testament kings about a month ago and I shared it with him,” Perry added. “I said, 'Mr. President, I know there are people that say you said you were the chosen one and I said, 'You were.’ "
"I said, 'If you're a believing Christian, you understand God's plan for the people who rule and judge over us on this planet in our government,’ said Perry.
Perry, who is heading back to Texas after three years on Trump’s cabinet, echoed his boss’ only words from about a year ago.
Remember, Trump has referred to himself as “the chosen one.”
“Somebody said this is Trump’s trade war,” said Trump in a press conference “It’s not my trade war. This is a trade war that should have taken place a long time ago by a lot of other presidents,” Trump said at the time, adding while looking up at the sky: “Somebody had to do it. I am the chosen one."
"The Chosen One" will be holding a rally in Broward County, Florida this Tuesday, and Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D), who has been calling for the president's impeachment, will be at the rally to protest.
