Well, don’t expect President Trump to extend a White House Christmas Party invitation to Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D) and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D) after the latest blow-up between those legislators and the president.
With Pelosi and Schumer both pushing what President Donald Trump calls an impeachment “witch hunt,” the climate was ripe for an epic cage match between these congressional leaders and the president.
During a foreign affairs meeting at the White House about the current situation in between Syria, Turkey, and the Kurds, a furious Speaker Nancy Pelosi stormed out of the meeting after President Trump called her a “third-rate politician” and suggested that she and Schumer, along with other Democrats, supported ISIS terrorists in the Middle East region of the world.
Here is how Pelosi responded to Trump:
"What we witnessed on the part of the president was a meltdown, sad to say," Pelosi
"I pray for the president all the time, and I tell him that -- I pray for his safety and that of his family. Now, we have to pray for his health -- because this was a very serious meltdown on the part of the president."
Trump hit back, tweeting, “The Do Nothing Democrats, Pelosi and Schumer stormed out of the Cabinet Room!”
"President Obama drew a red line in the sand [in Syria]. In my opinion, you are a third-grade politician." (Schumer, D-N.Y., told reporters he heard Trump use the term "third-rate politician.") (Source-Fox News)
Trump then tweeted a photo of Pelosi in the meeting, stating, “Nervous Nancy’s unhinged meltdown!”
Trump continued his Twitter takedown of Pelosi, saying that “Pelosi needs help fast,” and that Americans should “pray for her “ because she was a “very sick person!”
"Nancy Pelosi needs help fast! There is either something wrong with her “upstairs,” or she just plain doesn’t like our great Country. She had a total meltdown in the White House today. It was very sad to watch. Pray for her, she is a very sick person!"- President Trump
"The President was measured, factual and decisive, while Speaker Pelosi's decision to walk out was baffling, but not surprising," Grisham said. "She had no intention of listening or contributing to an important meeting on national security issues. While democratic leadership chose to storm out and get in front of the cameras to whine, everyone else in the meeting chose to stay in the room and work on behalf of this country."
