President Trump’s border wall along the U.S.-Mexico border continues to be built even as House Democrats continue to fight the construction of the proposed wall or fence.
Florida Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D) joined a chorus of House Democrats in showing their distaste for the president’s recent vetoing of a House measure would halt his border emergency declaration edict.
Rep. Wasserman Schultz stated that the president wanted to “steal funds from military families” to pay for “an ineffective border wall.”
“Yesterday he vetoed a bipartisan resolution opposing it,” tweeted Wasserman Schultz “But Congress will keep fighting for service members & against his vanity project.”
According to dozens of the new head of the U.S. Border Patrol Carla Provost, Trump’s wall “most certainly” is working and assisting that agency’s officers.
"Most certainly, it already assists my men and women," said Provost to The Hill
"We already have many miles, over 600 miles of barrier along the border,” stated Provost “I have been in locations where there was no barrier, and then I was there when we put it up. It certainly helps. It's not a be all end all. It's a part of a system. We need the technology, we need that infrastructure," she added in the interview that aired Thursday.
Provost echoes the voices of dozens of her officers who have openly stated that the border wall being constructed of effective an not “ineffective” as Wasserman Schultz claims the border wall is.
