Trump smacks CNN’s “Fredo” Cuomo over Giuliani appearance

The infamous quote from The Godfather II, “I know it was you Fredo. You broke my heart. You broke my heart!” lives on in today’s cutthroat political world.

After CNN anchor Chris Cuomo lost control over being called “Fredo” by a group of men in New York City a couple of months back, who would have thought that he would forever be stigmatized as the weaker, older brother of Michael Corleone?

President Trump to a big “Fredo” swipe at Cuomo during a press gaggle at the United Nations this week when asked about Rudy Giuliani’s appearance on Cuomo’s show.

“I think he was excellent. I watched him the other night. I haven’t watched that show in a long time. I don’t watch CNN because its Fake News, but I watched Rudy take apart Fredo. Fredo’s performance was incompetent, he took him apart”- President Donald Trump

“The press doesn’t give [Giuliani] credit because they take little tiny snippets where Rudy was a little bit — if he mispronounces a word, they’ll show that and they won’t show the whole,” Trump continued. “Rudy Giuliani took Fredo to the cleaners. The first time I’ve watched CNN in a very long time. So I hate to watch it because it’s so fake.”
