The U.S. Congress appears to have literally gone to the dogs this week, as a pack of rescued pooches were brought to the Rayburn House Office Building by the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).
Florida Rep. Ted Deutch (D), who’s legislative office is in the same building, made time in his busy congressional schedule to head over to the ASPCA table to shake some paws, possibly hand out treats.
Deutch thanked the ASPCA for their work in protecting animals and for their support of his Preventing Animal Cruelty and Torture (PACT) Act.
Deutch was so taken back from the fury encounter that he decided to post as many pictures as possible to Twitter of his new-found friends.
