Wasserman Schultz continues blaming Trump for shootings.

President Trump visited El Paso, Texas yesterday, and it was deemed controversial because he received many protestors arguing that he was not welcomed in their community.

Presidential candidates like Rep. Beto O’Rourke (D) have slammed the President’s visit, calling him a white supremacist and assuring that his rhetoric has fueled the recent shooters to carry out their horrible acts.

Florida Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D), a long-time critic of President Trump, took to twitter to express her disapproval of the President’s visit, explaining that “the pain & fear from this shooting fueled by white supremacist extremism is very deep and very present in my community & communities across the country.”

She added that “words aren’t enough. We need action on gun violence & action to combat white supremacist violence.”

Early in the week, President Trump condemned white supremacy, saying that “in one voice our nation must condemn racism, bigotry and white supremacy. These sinister ideologies must be defeated.”

While it remains unclear if the El Paso shooter was a white supremacist, the Dayton shooter was an Antifa supporter as seen from his support of the cause, not to mention having expressed his support for "socialism" and the presidential campaigns of Sen. Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders.

In a New York Post detailing how the Dayton shooter could be “antifa’s first mass killer,” it’s explained that last week he shared a tweet arguing that “I want socialism, and I’ll not wait for the idiots to finally come round understanding.”

In turn, President Trump has signaled both Antifa and white supremacists as a concern in the United States, and lawmakers like Rep. Wasserman Schultz argue that the President is only adding on to the divisive atmosphere in the country.

This week, the Florida lawmaker released a statement attributing the shootings to the President, saying that “after so many mass shootings, something is seriously wrong. And it’s on your hands. It’s on your watch, and the blood is on your hands.”
