Biden doesn't want drug offenders to go to prison

If former Vice President Joe Biden wins the Democratic nomination for president, you rest assured that President Donald Trump will force-feed him his growing list of political missteps and gaffes.

POLITICO reporter Marc Caputo, who has been assigned to cover the 2020 Democratic presidential primary race, is reporting that Vice President Joe Biden has possibly made another gaffe during a campaign stop in South Carolina.

Biden says that if he president, "no one will go to prison if their only crime is a drug offense." Biden would rather see these drug criminals go to "drug court," but as Caputo points out, he may have misspoken, because who would in their right mind allow drug traffickers like El Chapo just go to drug court, and not face serious federal prison time?
