While U.S. Senators Rick Scott (R) and Marco Rubio (R) say that they will support and will vote in favor of “Red Flag” law in the Senate, many Florida Republican like state Rep. Anthony Sabatini (R) does not see things the way Rubio and Scott do.
Sabatini, a Florida National Guard Reservist and avid ballroom dancer, may have tipped his hat on his supporting of these new gun laws that many Republicans and Democratic legislators have proposed. (Sarcasm)
Sabatini tweeted this past weekend that these laws are a way for the federal government to “confiscate” guns from Americans.
“I was asked if I support risk protection orders, also know (sic) as “red flag laws,” stated Sabatini “The type I support look like this: the government should be allowed to confiscate my firearm after they pry it from my cold dead hands.”
President Trump supports “Red Flag” laws and said he would sign a gun bill that “makes sense” into law.
In a statement, the Congressional Latino-Jewish Caucus denounced the decision, calling it "inflammatory and unwarranted."
