Florida Senator Rick Scott was in London this weekend to discuss Brexit negotiations and to address the long-standing security concerns over China telecommunications company, Huawei.

The Trump administration recently lifted restrictions preventing U.S. companies from selling to the tech giant, even as it is widely suspected that Huawei continues to engage in espionage activities at the behest of the Chinese government.

Scott is one of President Trump’s staunches allies, the president’s move to alleviate some pressure off of the Chinese company has Scott concerned over the course reversal.

“China is not our friend; they are our adversary. I applaud @realDonaldTrump for his efforts to work out a fair deal for America,” noted Scott “But Huawei is non-negotiable. Huawei is a national security threat to the U.S. and our allies.”

Scott also suggested that President trump needed to stick to his guns when it came to Huawei, who he says actively trying “to steal” American information.

“President Trump needs to stand strong against Huawei and stay consistent in making sure they have ZERO access to the US market,” stated Scott “It’s clear that Huawei has the capacity and the desire to steal our private information and use it against us.”

Sen. Marco Rubio  (R) has even threatened Trump with "veto proof" legislation to put back restrictions against Huawei. Click here
