Laura Loomer considers congressional run in Florida

Self-proclaimed conservative investigative journalist and activist, Laura Loomer, is seriously considering run for congress against Rep. Lois Frankel (D) in Florida’s 21^st congressional district.

The rumor was out there that the controversial Loomer was mulling over a possible run for office, with some activists saying that decision was already made, and that an announcement was imminent, possibly during the first week of July.

We reached out to Loomer for comment and asked her if she was going to run. Loomer stated that she was “giving it a lot of thought” and “thinking about doing it,” but added that she had not decided on what she was going to do.

Loomer added that she thinks she could defeat Lois Frankel in the general election.

Who is Laura Loomer?

According to her bio on her website LauraLoomer.us, Laura began her career in 2015 by working undercover for Project Veritas.

In reality, Loomer began her career in 2014 when she contacted us at the Shark Tank to tell us that Iman Nasir Ahmad, leader of the controversial Liberty City Mosque Masjid Al Ansar, repeatedly chanted Alluah Akbar during a memorial service at Barry University, one of the largest Catholic Universities in the country.

Loomer was a Barry University senior at the time.

Because of her brash, in-your-face personality and fearlessness to confront progressive legislators and organizations, Loomer has been banned from all social media networks, including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter, who banned her handle because she called out Rep. Ilhan Omar (D) for using anti-Semitic rhetoric when the now-congresswoman was campaign for her congressional seat.

Loomer was recently arrested for trespassing onto California Governor Gavin Newsome’s mansion.

Assuming that she runs as a Republican, Trump supporter Loomer will have to get past a primary election, where she will face off with Combat veteran Michael Bluemling, Jr, Christian Acosta, and Victor Garcia da Rosa.

Loomer is considered “far right” and has high name recognition, but will she be able to raise money off her popularity? And will she be able to garner crossover votes from Democrats and Independents in a general election?
