President Trump Holding Orlando Reelection Rally

Share

President Trump has already involved himself in rivalries with many 2020 Presidential candidates.

He’s slammed former Vice President Joe Biden (D), who’s leading in the polls. President Trump has traded words with Senator Elizabeth Warren (D) and he’s also gone after Senator Bernie Sanders (D), but he still hadn’t officially announced that he was running for reelection until now.

Taking to Twitter to make the announcement, the President informed that he will be making the announcement for a “Second Term Presidential Run with First Lady Melania, Vice President Mike Pence, and Second Lady Karen Pence on June 18thin Orlando, Florida, at the 20,000 seat Amway Center.”

Calling it a “Historic Rally!” the President has already been gearing up for his reelection bid by hosting a set of rallies that have seen large numbers in attendance.

In usual Trump fashion, the President has highlighted what he feels are accomplishments of his administration, he’s shared his future plans, and he’s also gone after his political rivals, which most recently included Mayor Pete Buttigieg (D).

The President has maintained confidence about his chances of reelection even after calls for his impeachment have heightened since the submission of the Mueller report.

The matter escalated when rep. Justin Amash (R) joined Democrats in making the call to have the President impeached, but Robert Mueller spoke this week to share his thoughts on the matter and to tell the American citizens that “charging the president with a crime was not an option we could consider.”

However, Democrats have not been satisfied with Mueller’s response.

In turn, Texas rep. Beto O’Rourke (D), a once rising star in the Democratic party who has seen a decline in the polls, appeared on Hardball with Chris Matthews to share his thoughts on President Trump.

He commented that Democrats need to “act now, or lose our democracy forever… this moment demands more of us.”

O’Rourke asserted that “we will be judged by how we face these facts.”

Ultimately, the American people will judge for themselves when they take to the polls to cast their votes.
