House Democrats continue pressing "cover up" narrative

Share

After collapsing at a recent political event held by New York Mayor Bill di Blasio, Rep. Jerry Nadler (D) is feeling better and resting at home.

Nadler said the reason for his fainting was due to the combination of being dehydration and the room being extremely warm.

While House Democrats extended their well wishes for the controversial Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, some members took it upon themselves to use Nadler’s illness as an opportunity to take a swipe at President Trump.

“We stand with our Chair in protecting the rule of law against the rise of tyranny,” tweeted Rep. Hakeem Jeffries “@HouseDemocrats will expose the cover-up. No. Matter. What. It. Takes.”

Florida Rep. Ted Deutch (D) retweeted Jeffries, solidifying (if he hadn’t already done so) his support for continued investigations into the Trump administrations.

Nadler is pushing impeachment proceedings, but has hit a wall with Speaker Pelosi. Pelosi is against impeachment, but has urged her fellow Democrats to continue pushing investigations against the president.

Pelosi also stated that Trump was covering something up, and was not “above the law.

"We do believe that it's important to follow the facts," the California Democrat said. "We believe that no one is above the law, including the president of the United States. And we believe that the president of the United States is engaged in a cover-up."-Speaker Nancy Pelosi
