In the era of President Donald Trump, the U.S. Congress couldn’t be anymore divided, as members have aligned themselves as being either completely supportive or not, of the administration.
In looking at how Senators have voted on Trump-backed legislation, there is no surprise that Sens. Bernie Sanders (17%), Kamala Harris (14%), Cory Booker (14.9%), Elizabeth Warren (12.8%), Amy Klobuchar (29.8%), and Kirsten Gillibrand (11.7) – All are 2020 Democratic presidential candidates, and all-but completely opposed to anything Trump supports.
Florida’s two Republican Senators, Rick Scott (90%) and Marco Rubio (91.4%), are in the top ten of those members that back the Trump agenda, as are Texas Senators Ted Cruz (92.6%) and John Cornyn (95.7%)
Scott was recently asked on CNN if he believed Trump had the right to break immigration law, Scott simply said that he felt the president is “very frustrated” because the wasn’t being secured because “Democrats are stopping” the border patrol from doing their job of securing the U.S. southern border.
Sen. Kevin Cramer (R-ND) bests the entire list of Trump-loving Republicans with 98%, while Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand’s 11.7% support of Trump the lowest among Democrats.
