Speaking at a Temple in Plantation, Florida, Gov. Ron DeSantis discussed the rise of anti-Semitism, and Airbnb apparent decision to take anti-Israel position.
DeSantis said that Airbnb’s anti-Semitic policies in the West Bank, and anti-Semitic tropes that have gripped politics over the past several months.
“Airbnb wants to go public, they go public, the state of Florida aint investing in them,” stated DeSantis, adding that he had already “barred state employees” from using Airbnb for official state business,
“BDS is an effective a form of warfare against Israel. The whole goal is to delegitimize the state of Israel.”- Gov. Ron DeSantis
When asked if what his thoughts were about the recent anti-Semitic tropes in the U.S. Congress, DeSantis took a subtle swipe at Rep. Ilhan Omar (D), saying that the tropes used were “really, really ancient prejudice” and that Omar didn’t know what she was talking about.
