Doral, Florida-Newly elected U.S. Senator Rick Scott (R) gave a short but forceful address to Venezuelan dissidents and supporters during Vice President Pence’s rally for Venezuela in Miami.
“El tiempo de Maduro a terminado” or Maduro’s time has ended, said the sometimes bilingual Scott, who added that it was also time that Venezuela had “free and fair elections.”
Scott also affirmed what many Venezuelans have whispered among themselves-“Thank God for President Trump.”
Taking a not-to-subtle jab at President Barack Obama, Scott asserted that it was about time “someone had the guts to stand up and say ‘no more to Maduro.”
