Doral, FL- Vice President Mike Pence headlined a rally at a local church in support of the new Venezuelan President Juan Guaido and the people he is now tasked to lead as dictator Nicolas Maduro’s days in office appear numbered.
As many Venezuelan dissidents and supports hope that Maduro is ousted from office quickly and forced to “meet his maker,” President Trump has reiterated that “all options are on the table” in dealing with Maduro.
All options include military action.
Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart (R), who represents the largest Venezuelan community in Florida, fired up the crowd of 400+ by saying that while the time for negotiating with Maduro, there was only one up just one last acceptable negotiation with Maduro.
Diaz-Balart, echoed what tens of thousands of Venezuelans have been hoping for when he said that Maduro’s only negotiating options were to leave the country, go to prison, or meet “Jesus Christ.”
"We keep struggling. We struggle, not towards a negotiation.
Can I confess something? We are here among friends, right? This is just a secret between you and I (joking) I think there is one negotiation that should be done with Mr. Maduro. How and when, either he leaves the country, or he goes to prison, or he goes to meet Jesus Christ
This is the time. This is the time.”-Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart
