While the Broward Supervisor of Elections tries to get back on track and continue the recount process with the help of two more ballot counting machines, many questions arise as to who oversees the entire recount process.
The Broward County Canvassing Board is the governing body in this year’s mid-term election mess.
Fortunately for voters, the canvasing board, is doing a pretty good job of allowing the armies attorneys from both Republican and Democratic Parties to state their objections and concerns.
The board consists of Dr. Brenda Snipes and Judges Betsy Benson (pictured center), and Debborah Carpenter-Toye (pictured right).
Benson and Carpenter-Toye are running the show, not Snipes, who is appears to more of a figure head (just for show) in the proceedings.
Benson is a judge in the civil court division, while Carpenter-Toye works in the criminal division.
Brenda Snipes has just stated that roughly 214,000 ballots have yet to be sorted.
Once the 714,000 ballots are sorted, the recount will start.
