President Trump's move to position active duty soldiers along the U.S. southern border to help border patrol keep out the migrant caravan, has irked many Democratic members of congress.
Florida Rep. Alcee Hastings (D) took issue with Trump's troop deployment last week ago, tweeting that the soldiers in question were mere "props" for the Trump Administration and are out there in tents with now power.
Many of these same soldiers have been deployed to active war zones, where the luxury of electricity is not always available, and on many nights, soldiers are huddled up in mud huts, building ruins, and tents..
Soldiers are accustomed to this type of deployment and living circumstances. They have trained to live on the rough.
Meanwhile, the migrant caravan is clashing with Mexican citizens and police in Tijuana.
Please remember the 5,500+ service members deployed to the border as props of the @RealDonaldTrump Admin. They are in tents with virtually no electricity. They are away from their families. They are costing taxpayers $200M. They are also prohibited from interacting with migrants.
