Frankel accuses GOP of "bullying" Kavanaugh's accuser

If they can’t beat President Trump fairly, Democrats will revert to doing whatever it takes to delay his Supreme Court Justice nominee.

Senate Democrats, specifically Senator Diane Feinstein, have hindered the nomination proceedings by sitting on a letter from Christine Blasey Ford, the woman who has accused Judge Brett Kavanaugh of sexually assaulting her in high school.

Democrats want to delay Kavanaugh’s confirmation because they want the FBI to Ford’s 30-year-old assault claims, a move that could push the vote past the mid-term elections.

Ford has agreed to testify before the Senate, but only if the FBI conducts a full investigation. According to Republican senators, that is not going to happen.

Florida Congresswomen Lois Frankel and Kathy Castor have signed onto a letter to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), Judiciary Chairman Charles Grassley (R-Iowa) and ranking member Sen. Diane Feinstein (D-Calif.)

"To hold a vote now would be an insult to women and girls, sending a powerful message that they don’t matter and will not be believed. Let’s instead set an example for our children that sexual violence should be taken seriously and emphatically denounced," they wrote. (The Hill)

Both Frankel and Castor have taken to social media to promote their efforts, but Frankel is has stepped up, tweeted several statements regarding Kavanaugh’s nomination, including accusing Senate Republicans of "bullying" Ford."

Remember, Ford has volunteered to testify before the Senate.
