Democrat Andrew Gillum posted a huge fundraising number ($4m) shortly after winning his gubernatorial primary race, outraising Republican Ron DeSantis $1 million effort in the latest fundraising cycle.
With DeSantis’ Friends of Ron DeSantis political committee having raised another $3,459,500, does DeSantis have the advantage, or does it belong to Gillum?
Also, take into consideration that the Republican Party of Florida has raised $7.7 million, most to be spent on DeSantis gubernatorial race.
Florida Democrats will also have money to spend on the race, but probably not as much as Republicans. But then again, the Soros fact looms over the race.
Republicans need to retain the governor’s mansion for 2018, but if the latest poll numbers are any real indication of how the race could turn out, Democrats may be the ones with the advantage. Gillum is up 6 points in the latest Rasmussen poll.
