Charlie Crist on cruise control in 2018

Share

After losing his senate race to now-Senator Marco Rubio in 2010, then losing a gubernatorial contest against Florida Rick Scott in 2014, Florida’s most experienced and professional politician, Charlie Crist, is well on his way to winning re-election to the the U.S. Congress.

Crist won a very close race against then-Congressman David Jolly (R) after Jolly dashed his chances of winning by making the ill-advised move of calling out the Republican Party over their fundraising practices. Charlie finally made it to Congress.

Now Crist, whose campaign bank account is flush with cash and is running virtually unopposed—he isn’t even really campaigning.

Crist is lock step with the Democratic Party, a far cry from his days as “Chain gang Charlie,” the uber Conservative Republican Governor of Florida.

Taking a quick glance at the CharlieCrist.com campaign website, all anyone will be able see is his “About” page.

Nothing else is posted there.

As for Crist’s Facebook page, nothing campaign related is posted, only current events and some legislative accomplishments.

Unless Republicans put up someone with similar charisma and appeal, not to mention be able to raise a whole lot of campaign cash, Crist may not have to every campaign for re-election again.
