Sen. Nelson receives much-needed advertising help from Democratic groups

With Governor Rick Scott (R) commanding Florida’s political TV advertising world over his senatorial opponent Senator Bill Nelson (D), it was only a matter of time before outside helped arrived for the senior senator.

Scott has already spent upwards of $10 million and now Democratic-supporting groups, Senate Majority PAC and Priorities USA Action have coughed up $2.8 million in ads supporting Nelson, the bulk of that coming from the Senate Majority.

Nelson needed it, but will it be enough to counter and defeat the political weather system Scott is creating? Will outside groups continue to pour money into a race where their opposition will be able to easily outspend their efforts?
