Florida's AG race could have a clear frontrunner

Share

The race to replace outgoing Attorney General Pam Bondi continues as Republicans Ashley Moody and Reps. Jay Fant and Frank White, continue their push to garner enough statewide support to win their respective primary election race.

It’s still early in the race, but some activists will tell you that Moody is the front runner because of the money she has raised and for the endorsements she has garnered. Fant and White are also racking up the endorsements and have money behind them, but Moody may be setting the pace.

Moody’s monthly campaign wrap-up all-but declares her the clear frontrunner as more endorsements are posted, including that of Senate President Joe Negron. While Moody says that her campaign has been pushing a “conservative message for a safer, stronger Florida,” but Fant has been countering her conservative bona fides by calling her a former Clinton supporter that sued President Donald Trump

With Pam Bondi endorsing her, one would think that Moody has the race all locked up. Not true. This race could go down to the wire as most multi-candidate primaries do.
