Trump and Abe Hold Joint Conference

With news of an upcoming summit being held by North Korean leader Kim Jong-un and President Donald Trump, Mar-a-Lago hosted Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe to discuss trade and growing pressure omg North Korea to denuclearize.

Yesterday, both leaders held a joint press conference to discuss the topics they spoke about over the last two days, and the meeting at Mar-a-Lago seemed to be a fruitful one.

"We will not repeat the mistakes of previous administrations. Our campaign of maximum pressure will continue until North Korea denuclearizes. There is a bright path available to North Korea when it achieves denuclearization in a complete and verifiable and irreversible way. It will be a great day for them. It will be a great day for the world," detailed President Trump.

Through a translator, Prime Minister also explained that "Just because North Korea is responding to dialogue, there should be no reward. Maximum pressure should be maintained."

This week it was also reported by news outlets that North Korea and South Korea were making arrangements to announce that they would no longer be at war, so this comes at a time where there is a shift in how North Korea is relating to other nations.
