Tim Canova ready to give Wasserman Schultz a re-election headache

One of the congressional rematch elections Floridians will surely be tuned into will be the expected Democratic primary cage match between Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz and Nova University Professor Tim Canova.

During the 2016 primary election, Canova, who is now spending a good amount of time appearing on Fox News, ran to the left of Wasserman Schultz, garnering the support of the anti-Hillary, anti-establishment wing of the Democratic Party, which was already backing Clinton and Wasserman Schultz in their respective primary elections.

Canova lost but not before taking a pound of flesh out of the ‘DWS’ political campaign by highlighting the probable (now proven to be true) “rigging” of the primary election against him and Sen. Bernie Sanders.

Since losing his elections, Canova has not stopped against Wasserman Schultz and has been involved in the ongoing inquiry into the illegal destruction of ballots by the Broward County Supervisor of Elections.

Canova contends that election Supervisor Brenda Snipes sided with Wasserman Schultz during the election and may have helped hide alleged fraud by having those ballots destroyed almost a year before they should have been destroyed.

It’s still early into this election cycle, but Wasserman Schultz holds a pretty substantial fundraising advantage over Canova. Per Federal Elections Commission (FEC) filed documents, Canova raised $99,749.15 while ‘DWS’ raised a whopping $770,988.84 during the 2017 fiscal year.
