Plantation- Speaking in front of 250+attendees at the Temple Kol Ami Emanu-El Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announced that he will be visiting Israel on May 25, and fulfill his campaign promise to make that his first official international trip as governor.

The planning of the trip was already being discussed within Republican political circles, so it was to no surprise to many.

Along with DeSantis, the Florida Cabinet and Emergency Management Director Jared Moskowitz will be among the 75 individuals invited on the Enterprise Florida-sponsored trip.

Believe it or not, DeSantis will hold the first ever monthly cabinet overseas at the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem.

DeSantis says that the purpose of the trip is to increase tourism between the Israel and Florida, “drive investment into Florida with Israeli companies,” and has hopes to work with Israeli and Florida Universities to possibly find solutions to help Florida’s current water issues.

“They’ve made the desert bloom over there,” said DeSantis.
