The case of the 2017 shooting at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International airport will not drag on as most first suspected it would.

Shooter Esteban Santiago, the former Army reservist, has plead guilty to killing five people and injuring a half dozen more, after retrieving his secured firearm in the baggage claim are shortly after his plane landed in Florida

Even though he was diagnosed with schizophrenia and was put on new medication for the illness, Santiago was found fit to stand trial by U.S. District Judge Beth Bloom in Miami.
